Ok, so no post again for a little while explains my return to the booze, but fortunately I kept up the exercise. Return to sobriety commenced agin on 11th June. This time I am committed to hanging in there until after the tough Mudder event, August 18 !
I fought the first real tough cravings yesterday, being a sunny Friday. But I feel pretty committed as the constant gym work inspires me to get better results which I will only get if I quit beer.
Anyway, off to the gym!

On the wagon !
Day 4 and going strong. I am feeling a little twitchy but my head is clear and I get so much more done. Changed my gym routine to combine two body parts and that means working some of them twice a week now. Missed my planned cardio because of work and laziness, but I will have been to the gym 6 times so not too bad.

Day 2, staying the course...
Feeling a little grumpy and quiet, no alcohol though. Switched to combine chest &tricep workout. Had planned a run but feeling a little under the weather. Early gym session in the morning though.

Leg work out done and followed my diet pretty well. Tomorrow will be tougher without a beer though. But I am committed!

Getting ready for another round !
It's been nearly a year since the post. 2013 has started differently, no blog posts, but constant working out in the gym. Only problem has been my diet and by that I really mean drinking!
So, coming up is my biggest challenge yet, abstaining from alcohol.....the challenge starts on Monday, 20th May......

slowly slowly
I went for an 8km bush run then the next day an 8km run along the coast! Yesterday I had a rest but today its back to running! I am starting to feel some motivation and the good old feeling of exercise being normal and an everyday event. Maybe I will even make it to the weights this weekend...

Hmmmm.
Dam! No excercise yesterday, but a great hill climb on Saturday. Lookin' to do a hike this afternoon with my little fella though. Food today has been ok but i am still severely lacking motivation. what to do....
